Dr. Maysa Shaar

Dr. Maysa Shaar’s journey to veterinary medicine has taken her across the world and back home to Southern California! She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, before heading across the pond to pursue her veterinary degree at the Royal Veterinary College in London, graduating in 2023.

After graduation, Dr. Shaar began her career as a small animal general practice veterinarian in London, where she spent a year and a half building her clinical skills and caring for patients. During her seven years abroad, she also embraced her love of travel, exploring destinations throughout Europe and beyond, including Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Hungary, Greece, Norway, Morocco, Turkey, and many more!

After seven incredible years overseas, Dr. Shaar was thrilled to return home to Southern California to be closer to her friends and family. She is excited to continue growing as a veterinarian right here in her home state, bringing with her valuable clinical experience, a wealth of knowledge, and a unique perspective gained from practicing veterinary medicine in the UK.

When she’s not at the clinic, Dr. Shaar loves traveling, discovering new places, and making memories with her husband, family, and friends. We’re excited to have her on our team and look forward to all the wonderful things she’ll bring to our hospital!
